TDR Dog of the Week
Amber eyes, white-tipped toes, and an expression that makes a convincing case for putting down your phone. Meet Tucker, a one-year-old Pointer mix whose favorite place, according to the SPCA of Texas, is close to his people.
His SPCA biography describes a sweet young dog who enjoys affection, cuddles, and companionship. There is something lovely about that uncomplicated wish: a comfortable place to settle and someone glad to have him nearby.

Make a date to meet Tucker
Tucker is already living in a foster home. His profile asks prospective adopters to complete the SPCA’s application to arrange a meeting. Include his name and animal ID so the team can help you take the next step.
You can also find him in the SPCA of Texas adoptable-dog listings. Ask his team about his current needs and how he might fit your household before making a trip. His meeting arrangements follow the foster-home process rather than a shelter walk-in.
If there is no room for a dog in your life right now, there may be someone in your circle who is ready. Sharing Tucker’s profile is a small way to help those amber eyes find their person.
Pet information comes from SPCA of Texas; availability, fees, and meeting arrangements may change.
