Bring a friend with strong opinions about kitchens. Lakewood is opening its doors again, and the 50th annual Lakewood Home Tour makes a very good case for clearing a November weekend.
The daytime tour runs Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is a chance to explore eight homes across two days, collect a few ideas for your own place, and enjoy a neighborhood tradition that helps support East Dallas public schools.
Make it a two-day outing
There is a small scheduling detail worth catching before you head out: six homes welcome daytime visitors both days, while two stops have their own day on the calendar. 7059 Pasadena Avenue is Saturday only; 6819 Avalon Avenue is Sunday only. Seeing all eight means coming both days. Happily, the daytime weekend pass covers both.
The six homes on both days are 7210 Brennans Drive, 6823 Bob O Link Drive, 7140 Wildbriar Drive, 7030 Tokalon Drive, 6645 Country Club Circle, and 600 N. Brookside Drive. Start at whichever participating home makes sense for your route; the tour is self-guided, and you can visit in any order.

A ticket, a route, and comfortable shoes
The Daytime Weekend Pass is $50 and includes a guidebook. At the official online checkout, a $7.95 fee brings the total to $57.95. Tickets are also available at participating homes during tour hours; on-site sales are cashless. See the official ticket page and purchase a daytime pass.
Guests arrange their own transportation and should follow posted parking restrictions. Shoe covers are required inside; pick them up at your first stop and keep them for the remaining homes. Photography requires valid media credentials, so plan to enjoy the rooms without making an impromptu photo shoot of them. The event goes ahead rain or shine.
The organizer recommends the daytime tour for ages 12 and older. Walking children need tickets, and toddlers and strollers are not permitted inside; infants may attend in a wearable carrier. Check the organizer’s guidance if you are planning a family visit.
Good houses, a good cause
The Lakewood Early Childhood PTA’s fundraising supports East Dallas public schools, including Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School, along with other area campuses and community programs. That gives the weekend’s house conversations a purpose beyond deciding which room you would happily take home.
Candlelight and VIP options are currently sold out. Daytime visitors can find the latest availability, home lineup, and visitor guidance on the official Lakewood Home Tour page.
