Cedar Springs gets its Halloween moment a week early, with costumes, music and a street party that invites Oak Lawn to show off its imagination.
Some neighborhood traditions are best enjoyed with a dinner reservation. This one calls for a costume and a willingness to be part of the scene.
The Dallas Halloween Block Party returns to Cedar Springs Road on Saturday, October 24, 2026, beginning at 7 p.m. The organizer lists the celebration in the 3900 block, with Station 4 at 3911 Cedar Springs Road serving as the address on its event listing.

The street becomes the runway

The announced attractions include music, drag performances and a costume catwalk through the street. The organizer also describes festivities in the parking lots behind participating clubs, giving the evening more than one gathering place.
The appeal is easy to understand. Halloween gives people permission to be theatrical, funny, glamorous or gloriously peculiar. Put that energy into a neighborhood gathering, and watching everyone arrive becomes part of the entertainment.

Free street admission is not the same as free club admission
The organizer says the street and parking-lot party is free for guests 18 and older. Cocktails are limited to guests 21 and older, and its event description says the clubs are 21+.
Do not assume that free access to the outdoor celebration includes admission to every venue. Individual clubs may have cover charges, entry policies or separately sold passes. Station 4, for example, advertises an optional express-entry pass through a separate listing.
The event page’s summary badge says 21+, while its detailed description and dedicated event website explicitly distinguish the 18+ outdoor party from 21+ club access. If you are under 21, check directly with the organizer before making plans.

Make the practical decisions before the costume goes on
Our suggestion: choose a meeting point with friends, plan your trip home and check your intended venue’s rules before leaving. A costume that looks terrific standing still should also be comfortable enough for an evening on your feet.
And put the right Saturday on your calendar. The block party is October 24, not Halloween night on October 31. Separate Halloween-weekend events should not be mistaken for this celebration.
Oak Lawn does not need much encouragement to have personality. For this evening, the neighborhood gets to turn it all the way up.
