Come for a sandwich. Stay for a drink. Leave with a spouse? Deep Ellum’s latest arrival is giving the phrase “a big night out” considerable room to grow.
Boots & Booze plans to celebrate its first-phase opening on Friday, October 23, 2026, on Main Street across from Terry Black’s Barbecue. The opening lineup pairs The Window, a walk-up kitchen, with The Courtyard, an outdoor bar and gathering space, and a Shotgun Wedding Chapel. Yes, the chapel is intended for actual weddings, not merely an amusing backdrop for your next profile picture. CultureMap reported the first-phase plans.

First, something to eat
Before anyone starts discussing forever, there is lunch. The announced comfort-food lineup includes Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese and Hot Honey Chicken French Toast, with coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner part of the walk-up concept. Frozen Old Fashioneds are also in the mix, according to DiningOut’s opening coverage.
That is a decidedly different proposition from another reservation-only dining room. A window leaves room for the person passing through, the friend who only has time for a quick bite and the group whose “one drink” plan was never especially convincing. We have not tasted the menu yet, so consider this an opening preview, not a review.
A courtyard with a social calendar
The dog-friendly courtyard is planned for live entertainment and sports viewing as well as drinks. For opening Friday, the venue’s own announcement lists live music by Hall Pass from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The appeal is the ability to let an evening unfold without changing addresses every time someone changes their mind. Food, a place to sit outside and a band make a fairly persuasive starting point. Bringing the dog is a bonus. Bringing a fiancé appears to be optional.
About that chapel
The Shotgun Wedding Chapel is the detail everyone will repeat. Opening reports describe a functional ceremony venue, with DiningOut also noting divorce parties and other celebrations among its possibilities. Anyone considering a ceremony should contact the team about arrangements rather than mistake the playful name for a promise of an instant wedding.
It gives the place an eccentric little plot twist. Most bars hope you will remember your evening. This one may provide an anniversary.

The team behind the twist
The project comes from Dallas-based Wush Hospitality Group. Its website identifies Sherry Hazrati and Noor Jehangir as the hospitality professionals leading the group.

What comes later
The opening is not the final version of the project. Wush Hospitality Group also plans a full-service Boots & Booze Scratch Kitchen led by chef José Luis Rodriguez Perez, previously of Mixtitos Kitchen. A date for that phase has not been announced. The restaurant and lounge renderings on the venue’s website should not be confused with photographs of completed opening-day spaces.
Before you head over
The venue’s opening announcements give 3014 Main Street; its website currently lists 3010 Main Street. Both point to the Main Street location across from Terry Black’s. Confirm the entrance, current hours and any event arrangements through Boots & Booze’s website or call 469-908-8770 before going. Opening plans can change, and the website still lists regular opening hours as forthcoming.
For now, Deep Ellum has a new answer to “What should we do Friday?” Just be specific about whether you mean dinner or a lifetime commitment.
